The 3d files on Sketchfab are the works of self-described art-makers. Art schools could paper their cities with the charcoal renderings of cubes and spheres made on the road to more effective art. Among some of those charcoal-smudged hands will later emerge real Art.

What Laurie Annis has done here reaches past normal Sketchfab fare. I haven’t seen such a scathing work, meant to stir emotions more complex than fear of a badder fist. This asks you to question something in your own (squirmy?) self.

Annis also created the mirror with no reflection. A reversal of standard 3D-crafted mirrors.

When I first saw this I had to show someone else. He zoomed in and I realized the level of skill on view. Look at the duct tape and how it conforms to the narrowed curves of the skull. Nothing amateur here.

Reflections Of An Enabler  goes wide-eyed into a zone artists can only earn: Art that wakes you up.
