Thursdays in the Now
Neural Bouquet
Imagine throwing a pack of cards into the wind above a cliff. Or releasing an armload of doves whose vigorous wingbeats carry them up into the sky. The artwork above began by randomly choosing images from a collection from unsplash.com. And finding art in them.
I consult my catalogs — of my work, of image sources — and fetch out a random handful — a lady in a meadow picking an oddball nosegay of flowers. My chosen pictures have never seen each other before. They’re suspicious. I sit down and see what sense art can make of them.
Some compositions I erase, some I’m pleased to keep.
