I call artworks that literally use one of Photoshop’s premier features Layerworks. Photoshop allows you to play with possible color effects of one layer on the next layer down. Of course you can complicate it — but name anything you can’t.
Photoshop allows you 26 flavors of color relationship. I’ve seen software with many more. It’s just how many algorithms the developers want to write. (If these colors, then do that.)
As I gain skill with the technique I can tell which existing images will talk better sense together.
If the images are displaying over each other (not spread out nicely)
